The Thirdshelf Interview Process
We've iterated many times on our interview process to make sure it's fair, efficient, and representative of what it's like to work here. We want to make sure this will be the start of a long and beautiful relationship. Here's how we run it.
Step 1: you had me at hello
We start things off with a friendly phone call to introduce each other. We'll discuss the story of Thirdshelf, what we do, why we do it, and how.
More importantly, we'll want to know all about your story. What you've accomplished, what you'd like to accomplish, what you enjoy and what turns you off.
We'll recap the details of the opportunity and make sure it's a good fit.
Step 2: it's show time
We'll send you an interview test you can complete at home, with no set deadline (most candidates complete it within a week). No gotchas, enigmas or silly questions. We'll ask you to complete a task that's very similar to what you'd do on a day-to-day basis at Thirdshelf.
This test has a dual purpose: 1- for us to assess your skill level and 2- for you to get a clear sense of the position's requirements.
Step 3: our first date
At this point we've enjoyed our first phone call, and you've impressed us with your work. The team is excited to meet you in person, go over your test result, and get to know you better.
Beyond the technical talk, we'll want to make sure it's a great fit with our team, that our values are aligned, and that you'd enjoy working with us.
Congratulations!
You've aced all of the steps of our interview, and we're all excited about you joining the team. We'll send you an offer containing all the details about your compensation, vacation, start date, etc.
Put your signature on it, and get ready for the next chapter of your career!
